Description

These Brown Boobies (Sula leucogaster) lived on Takutea, an uninhabited island and bird sanctuary in the Cook Islands, South Pacific. While I was sketching, the chick was on its own for a while, before the parent bird landed. The chick seemed so much larger in its upright posture and the fluffy feathers.
