Thank you. Fortunately, even after years of studying proportions in countless life drawing sessions, it never get easy, which means, there is still so much to discover.

Artist's Description

Puzzle Pieces is an ongoing series of pas-de-deux. Two dancers knot and intertwine as three dimensional puzzle pieces. They unite to design different forms, or frame space between each other. They create harmony by balancing and struggle in a tug-of-war. They hinge on each other, interact with trust and tension, and whatever they do - it is always a little precarious. As Puzzle Pieces, we work things out together, confronting and accommodating, gaining new perspectives by expanding our range of options and perspectives.

About Judith Kunzle

Judith Kunzle

Judith Kunzle has a big diversity of motifs: the human body in motion, to landscapes from the South Pacific, to California and her native Switzerland. She loves to draw and paint bodies that move, like dancers, yogis and other humans, animals and plants, including mountains which also show time and change. Her study in human anatomy and the structure of living things are loving observation, giving her work warmth, substance and depth. Judith lived for 30 years in the South Pacific, on Samoa and in the Cook Islands, two years on Hawaii and six years in California. In 2021 she returned to her native Switzerland to paint mountains.
