Description
The Giant Triton, or Charonia, are very important animals in their natural habitat, on tropical reefs. They protect coral reefs because they eat Crown-of-Thorn starfish, which eat corals and have been very destructive on coral reefs.
Unfortunately, Giant Triton have been decimated by shell collectors. I found and borrowed my model from a shell collector, and by drawing it, I hoped that some shell lovers will substitute a print of the beautiful shell for the “real thing” and allow the wild, living Tritons to be left alive and doing their job patrolling the reefs.
