Product Details

Our luxuriously soft beach towels are made from brushed microfiber with a 100% cotton back for extra absorption.   The top of the towel has the image printed on it, and the back is white cotton.   Our beach towels are available in two different sizes: beach towel (32" x 64") and beach sheet (37" x 74").

Don't let the fancy name confuse you... a beach sheet is just a large beach towel.

Artist's Description

This painting was based on many sketches. For weeks, I went on Saturday afternoon to the wharf of Avarua, sketching the children play in the clean and balmy tropical warm water. The small fishing boats were their swings, slides and islands, and whoever kept their boat there, must have agreed to share them with the kids. It was a scene of wild, loud happiness and fun. After a while I noticed the rules of cooperation among the children, how they watched before they jumped, how they would help each other to get up on boats - while they pushed another off.
Avarua wharf is also the location of the legendary bar Trader Jacks, where the locals meet each other and visitors, while the kids play and show off. Its a social center of Rarotonga, the main island of the Cook Islands in the south Pacific.
